@6468lee Thank you.. great conversation with you, i guess the only way to stand out and get away from the fast twitch types is by moving up in distance.

@Gin2312002 @Gin2312002 Actually, it is not simply about the name of the exercise but the purpose of it. You can do it in any order as long as what you do FIRST ensures that the muscles are warmed up properly before getting into strenuous work. a 'run through' is a form of dynamic stretching as well as a 'drill' can be used for dynamic stretching. If your drill is to be a technically sound and strenuous feat, then do it only after you are properly warmed up and firing.

Can someone explain to me this?
If you have two sprinters that run identical 100m times, out of one of those sprinters why may one run a faster 200m time?
And if you have two sprinters and one runs a faster 100m time but when it comes to 200m they don't manage to win to the slower 100m sprinter?

@TheeUnstoppableOne Its simply because they are two entirely different races that require different skills...the 200m need more speed-endurance than the 100m, which one of the athletes may have more than the other

@6468lee Thank you for the response.. i was told once that an athlete that dominates over 100m could move up to longer sprints and also dominate, that being said, Asafa powell running 9.72, clocking a faster 100m than Yohan Blake.. could he one day hit move up to 200m and run a faster time than Blake, from what i was told about faster athletes being able to move up and dominate, shouldn't that be possible?

@TheeUnstoppableOne Of course it is very possible with a deeper off-season preparation and more speed-endurance workouts the faster 100m man will win the 200m.

@6468lee Alright thanks a a lot, besides speed endurance, is there any other component the 200m sprint needs that one athlete may be blessed with?
Or is it all down to fast twitch fibers, taking on endurance type characteristics?

@TheeUnstoppableOne Yes...another BIG factor is the ability of the athlete to handle the curve or bend. Shorter athletes tend to handle the bend better because of their balance, however the taller athlete, with practice, can become very efficient on the bend. Some athletes just cannot handle bends and pick up injuries which make them shy away from the 200m
