U.S. Senate Bean Soup

Based on the bean soup that has been on the menu in the U.S. Senate dining room for over a century. All you need are white beans, some ham hocks, onion, garlic, parsley, mashed potatoes (or instant potato flakes like I used here) salt, and pepper. Simple... and very tasty.
