This is the first song of eight or nine that make up the "cabaret" 'One Georgie Orwell' that Peter Cordwell and Carl Picton have produced for Greenwich Theatre in SE London. The show - "rescuing Orwell for once from crusty old academics" - is due to be shown at the theatre next year and includes a narration plus Orwell's own searing words from his books and essays. The first two lines sum up the show's approach: "His name was Eric Blair/but the likeness stops right there."
Ace cameraman Assaji Tanchangya.
