Geez, a piece on Kind of Blue turns into an argument on Rollins credibility? FWIW, he is very knowledgeable on jazz, classical, blues etc - just cos he was in a punk band doesn't mean he doesn't understand anything more than a distorted power chord. To say he doesn't have the importance to comment on jazz because he used to be in a punk band is like saying Norman Mailer shouldn't comment on boxing because he's a writer.

Why does a supposed straight guy like Henry mostly date know Lesbo's? Atleast guys like Cruise/ Dicaprio/Oprah and Tom Brady have the gull to hire Beards. I have no beef with henry rollins commenting on the album, but they edit it so that he basically doesnt get to say anything. He mentions that its a classic and lists some of the musicians on it...why even bother having him on there then?

Fairpoint, he doesn't really say much apart from telling us who the sax players are though(!) I've seen him on TV before and he just came across (to me) as a massively pretentious twat.
