  • I'm really liking the way these new GM engines redline around 7,000 RPM!

  • @form109 ...thus supporting my previous post. Ford is planning stopping production of the Lincoln Town Car in August of this year, and of course automakers across the board are modernizing their lineups. Baby boomers aren't buying as many cars any more, and when they do want to, they and their preceding generations of car buyers want more efficient, practical, and technologically advanced cars, which is why not just the "old people" car makers but all of them are updating their lineups.

  • @tombomb407 yeah i know they're diffrent engines, and i was just saying Buick has improved....Cadillac has modernized its image quite abit....there's no longer any "Traditional" Caddies....not since the departure of the Fleetwood.....Lincoln is also trying to shake its Traditional Image....and that will be gone with the Towncar.

  • @form109 I agree with the fact that Buicks aren't only "old people cars" anymore, but GM isn't the only car maker that has advanced their lineup or their lineup's image in the past 6 years, automotive technology has altogether advanced and brands have evolved since 2005...I wasn't arguing about Buick's worthiness as a marque in general or their target market, I was just pointing out that there was no way the LaCrosse's GM High Feature V6 was in any way, shape or form, related to Ford's Mondeo V6

  • @tombomb407 General Motors has really advanced its lineup since 2005...I Love All Buicks...but they really became competitive cars recently...no more old person car images.

  • @form109 true, it did offer ford's mondeo V6 engine for those model years (02-08), but that's still a ford engine...and i said "does not" offer a 3.0L V6, implying that they currently do not have a 3.0L V6 as an option for the current mazda6. this is a 3 liter variant of GM's high-feature V6

  • @tombomb407 Not Anymore it doesnt....the 3.0 Liter V6 was avalible in the 2002-2008 Years.

  • @METALMUNKEEZ

um...no, two completely different car companies (GM and Ford, or Mazda...same thing), and mazda's 6 doesn't even offer a 3.0L V6

  • I hope the senior citizens driving these can read those gauges!! ALL senior citizens drive them...

  • Same exact motor as the new mazda6 too right?

  • Nice car and a great sounding motor! The performance is weak as hell though.
