@extremevideopro why will you choose this? i have seen on your videos how easier is to use gt-10... is amp simulation better on hd500?... or is it because you have more stompboxes to assign an effect on it?

@robsangg Yes the HD500 does power the Variax, no batteries needed.

Glenn, does the HD500 power the variax, or do you have to use batteries or the variax power supply(the 1/4 in/XLR switching box)? I just got the HD500 and can get a variax 300 from a friend and was wondering if I would have to run it on batteries?

@gene611 Yes I would. The Nova system has a lag when switching patches. That stopped me from getting one. The sounds are very good but that lag in switching is unacceptable.
