My fav LK song of all time! This cut in my mind was the direction he could have and should have kept going in; the modern and authentic next direction for blues and true R&B. The vocals, the beats, even the understated solo are all pitch perfect in a song that conveys desperation, slavery and helplessness without coming off as pathetic, while remaining endearing.
