Actually, The Edge was born in London, England !
As said before ... it doesn't matter where you're born .... they make a great group with some of the best tunes ever!

eh hang on a second fallenangel2021 and sarahmcmitch..... first of all the edge was born and raised in dublin, both of his parents i think are welsh but that does not make him welsh.... and adam clayton, perhaps was born in england but has irish parents and moved over to ireland at a young age so all of u2 are irish!
If u asked them they certainly never fucking say they were from britain! They're proudly irish!

The Edge is Welsh. He said so at this concert and explained that it was part of the reason the band decided to wind the tour up in Cardiff. Adam Clayton is also not Irish, but an Englishman, but what does it matter?? Great band, great songs and this was a great live show at Cardiff last year. Really hope they return to the UK and Ireland again this summer :-)
