Ken J.B. Senior Editor

Ken J.B. born in Port-Au-Prince Haiti, relocated to the states at a young age. Having very little resources early on, Ken found interest in editing using two vhs VCRs, creating presentations for the family to enjoy. While attending area middle and high schools ken excelled in the television production curriculum, and found a deep love for the post production process.

Ken soon began inundating himself in any local productions that would let him on the set, and taking advantage of internship opportunities to hone his craft. Eventually landing editing jobs that would soon lead to more. Ken became well known for being the head editor for 3 full seasons of the (UPN) MyNetwork hip-hop and R&B TV show On the Mike at Midnight. His attention to detail and sheer dedication to his craft allowed him access to large television projects. During Kens career he has edited projects for Comcast, Paramount Pictures, Eastern financial credit union, Time Warner, and many regional and national television and film projects.

  • I really enjoyed the story. It got real suspenseful at the point where the father took the daughter to breakfast. The way he was acting i thought he killed the wife. The lighting was good as well and the story was really good once again. I was thinking about doing my own shorts within a couple ofmonths but right now im trying to muscle up the money to get a nice camera and equipment. I was thinking the canon xha1s, but i was wondering what you would suggest as far as equipment. write me back

  • I would recommend the Panasonic HVX200 it what i shot this film with. I've use lots of cameras and it's one of my favorites.

  • Well all film festivels , are not always picking the best shot, edited and sound films, as the winners, One thing that film makers have to you remember acting is a big part of it, without good acting the story is gone and unintersting. you can have the best script ever but without good acting , sound and directing it is gone.

  • was this really a winner? idk. i mean the concept of the story feels winner material, but the way it was shot, directed and the acting didn't felt like it at all.

  • So cute :3

  • I personally believe the production was a bit off. However, the story has potential. It's kinda a cross between drop dead Fred and Kazaam. I'm sure if you had a budget and more writer input, this could very well be a classic African American family film.

  • That was so awesome!! I want some get away glasses and I want me a hunnypot to talk to when the you-know-what hits the fan all around me. The little girl was a great actress. Some may think she was flat but thats how kids get when they are stressed. Just numb acting. And end it with her giving the glasses to the cop. Who needs those glasses more than a cop? Cool flick. Nice work.

  • At the beginning when you show the girl. Dolly to the back of the girl to show the parents to introduce them to the shot.

  • I think the story was pretty good. The acting, on the other hand, was no where near good. It drained the life out of the whole thing. There was no passion, aside from the first 30 seconds when they were arguing. Props to the writer and director; but if you want to make a real impact and leave the viewers in awe, you may want to fire whoever put the cast together.

  • Thanks for your input FilminaireFilms i well wait till you see what i do this year as i am officially entering the 48hour film fest again for 2010.

  • Loved the short. The story telling was well done and the cinematography was awesome. If I could give one little critique and I may be outta place cuz it could be what your aiming for, I just thought at times the depth of field was too outta focus, sorta distracting for me. Anyways I'm still trying to win a 48 Hour Film Contest so what do I know. Congrats on the film.Holla!
