@pokemaster361, they did make a game like Sonic Adventure 2, 2 games in fact, one was called Shadow The Hedgehog and the other Sonic The Hedgehog (2006), those games are the reason why the Sonic games don't have a serious story anymore, so... yeah don't hold your breath for another Sonic game like SA2, to tell you the truth I couldn't give a damn about the voice acting at all.

@marplatense31 Honestly, I'm just hoping that another game like Sonic Adventure 2 comes out soon. I've never seen any Sonic game as serious as that before and the story was just heaven to me. It might have been because you got to see it from the ends of both the protagonist AND the antagonist, but the game still had a good story. I liked the voice acting as well, then again, the game gave you the option of switching audio dialogue to Japanese. SafeHaven from annoying English voices FTW.

@pokemaster361, they already did improve, and Eggman was always a comic relief villain, granted in the Sonic Adventure games he was pretty badass (well, in the english translations anyway, I really don't know if the japanese script was any different) but again, they did change Eggman back to kinda badass (even though Colors was very light hrearted but whatever) hell, Eggman has been the final boss again for 2 game in a row now (well technically 3 if you count Sonic 4).

@marplatense31 It still wouldn't kill them to improve in terms of story development. There's no real good continuity between the old and new Sonic games and Sega missed out on a perfect opportunity to rework Eggman's overall character. He was, surprisingly, a total badass in Sonic Adventure 2, but after that, we got an Eggman whose character and seriousness wouldn't even be on par with that of a mid-boss. They turned him into more of a nuisance than an enemy.

@pokemaster361, actually I think that they have improved in developing Sonic games, of course the reason I'm saying that is because the early 3D Sonic games as good as they were, they were pretty buggy, and I didn't come across many glitches in Unleashed, Colors and Generations so I guess that's an improvement, and technically there were 9 really good classic Sonic games.

@marplatense31 And now we know why Sega /= Nintendo in terms of popularity and skill. If Sega wants to get their high perch in the video game market w/ Sonic again, they need to pay less attention to profits at least once and long enough to take the time to make a true quality game. Why do you think the first 3 or 4 Sonic games were so good?
-
@pokemaster361, the Sonic games were always rushed.
-
@marplatense31 Come to think of it, Sega has been rushing their Sonic games a lot recently. They should slow down and spend more time developing everything so that a.) The games themselves will rival Mario again, and b.) We don't have another mess like in 2006...not that I ever played the '06 version of Sonic.

@marplatense31 they might have dlc for the game. 5 levels is not enough

Even if i'm not that big a fan of water levels, I would've loved to see Aquarium Park back JUST for the fantastic music.
Not that the Planet Wisp music is bad. Though the level itself was a tad annoying, I wish they at least included a little variety in the wisp powers, both for the Classic and Modern levels.
IMO i would rather have starlight carnival then planet wisp

@Kylenike1, I don't know... I think it would have been cool if each era had 5 levels from different games.
for example if the Genesis era had a level from Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic CD, Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles.
then the Dreamcast era would have levels from Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Advance, Sonic Advance 2, and Sonic Heroes.
Finally the Modern era would have Sonic Rush, Sonic 06, Sonic Rush Adventure, Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Colors, that's just me though.
