Bill Day's book, "Bunji: a story of the Gwalwa Daraniki Movement" was published by Aboriginal Studies Press in 1992. In Darwin (the capital city of the Northern Territory of Australia) a book launch was organised by Jack Phillips and Robert Wesley-Smith, two activists who participated in the struggle for land rights documented in Bunji. Larrakia elders sang a traditional song before a short speech by Wesley-Smith welcoming the Larrakia guests and others including Nugget Coombs and Sandra Holmes. Wes then introduced the book which is still acclaimed as an important record of the resurgance of the Larrakia people in the 1970s.
