In his speech to party conference in Bournemouth, Liberal Democrat Shadow Chancellor Vince Cable argues that government should do fewer things well, rather than many things badly, freeing up the resources to give tax cuts to ordinary people.

  • Apart from Guy Fawkes, Vince Cable is the only man to have entered the house of commons with good intentions.

  • This is the reason why you should vote Liberal Democrat at the next General election.

  • I THINK THIS OLD WANKER HAS HAD HIS DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Vince Cable: How disappointing. Nick Clegg: How disappointing. These sell-outs have turned the party into Tory lapdogs. Your one chance to be influential in front bench politics and you are failing. The Conservatives are conceding minor issues. Your decision on student fees will affect a whole generation and more - years to pay off their fees, no chance of getting a mortgage with such debt hanging over them, the collapse of the starter housing market, marriage pushed back later & later. SHAME!!!

Guy Fawkes may have entered the commons with good intentions, though those good intentions were to bring an end to democracy and restore monarchy.

  • awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. he is soooo cute

  • So is he going to repeat all this to the 'snake oil salesman', now he'll be working for/with them. Or is he talking shit here. Perhaps he is joining the rich?

Are you going to be kneading the dough for Osborne's five loaves?

Are you happy to be working for the Party of UN-FAIRNESS.

You have a temporary taste of power, then nothing much after that, after yesterday.

Although I concede Clegg makes an equally good 'snake oil salesman'.

  • @onwebcameron Why feed a small poor child when you can have a bit extra for yourself. Jesus could have also saved himself a lot of time and possibly the cross if he only new of this fiscal master stroke.God bless.

  • @onwebcameron I agree with you. Now they get the chance to rob from the poor to pay for the rich. If only Robin Hood could have thought of that and he may have made more money , his merry men could have become much more efficient. The take per head is obviously smaller whilst robbing peasants but there are many more of them and many are unarmed already.

  • @lelvish1 you have been sold out now though havent they.
