Funny video....But I have to admit the new star trek Kicked ass....for awhile the star trek movie were getting stale... But this fast pace youthful look at Star Trek brought it back from it's old & slow dying franchise.I mean its a whole hell of alot better then the New Star Wars 1,2 &3

The problem with the new movie was the story and a lack of moral or theme. That really brought the movie down to just eye candy for me. Fine if that's all you want, I wanted depth

HOW was Trek XI badass? By having explosions and lame sex jokes every few minutes instead of an actual plot to the film or, at least, some decent character development to make you CARE about what you were seeing?

I'm sorry but the argument just doesn't make sense.

I can understand how some people who have dedicated their lives to memorizing the time line of events etc would be upset... but to those, I say give it a chance, let's see where the sequel goes now that the crew has been established.

Think of it as a challenge.

Be tolerant, be understanding... isn't that what Trek preached to us to do? Don't deny your origins and with that the lessons that were presented. Never forget the past, look to the future with hope, but accept what is happening now.

Many times we have wanted to bring more people in to show them what we love and why we love it.

Think of this as a doorway. The reboot has created a bridge to the mainstream, and thus more people out there. Through this, Trek gets more fans.

Eventually the new fans will want to know where it started. TNG, DS9 are great bridges to bring those newbies across. They watch those, learn more, and want to learn about the previous series.

So don't shut that doorway, embrace it and use it.
