After a brief speech by guest speaker Bryan Lindop of Blackpool Transport, ex Blackpool 1937 Brush car No.623. entered service at The Heaton Park Tramway on 22nd January 2012. Mr Lindop then took the controls of No.623 on its first passenger trip in Heaton Park.
Number 623 went into service alongside Manchester Tram 765 and Stockport No.5.
My thanks to everyone at The Heaton Park Tramway for a well organised event. A great day was had by everyone who attended and the weather was kind to us.
Superb coverage of the event Tommy and great to hear that virtually all the trams have been saved.

Well captured Tommy, we managed to miss the speech and the lauch, so nice to watch it here. Heaton park always do these things well, and it's great to hear that the remaining Blackpool fleet will now be in very good hands! 5*
