ANCHOR:
Companies and investors from all over the world visited the Clean Tech 2008 Exhibition in Israel. NTD team was there, and will show you some patents that may affect our lives soon.
STORY:
Israel has one of the most developed research and implementation of advanced water and energy technologies. As every year it hosted the International Clean Tech exhibition.
[Gideon Ezra, Israeli Environmental Protection Minister]: "Israel is a country that's been short of water and energy for a long time. While other countries didn't have such problems, Israel had to invent technologies to solve these problems. For example, today, Israel is recycling 70% of its sewage water. That is more than any other country in the world."
CleanTech 2008 emphasizes "green building", water, new energy technologies, and recycling.
[Ronit Markowicz, "Green Building" Company]:
"We are building houses with foam on the inside and on the outside, and inside we put concrete. This system especially helps Israel, so that there is not a lot of heat and cold coming in the house/ You are saving 40 to 70 percent of energy."
Not only recycling of water is important; old, used tires are also a good source for recycling materials.
[Ron Berazen , Middle East Director of "Coral" Group]:
"The biggest project currently in development is recycling of old, used tires. The process is an ecologically clean, completely closed circle. Basically, what we do is we use electromagnetic systems. We get back all the parts the tire was made of, which will be: carbon, metal, gas and oil."

Mashov group, the exhibition organizers, are satisfied with the results of CleanTech 2008

[Haim Allouche, CEO, "Agro-Mashov"]:
"There are amazing deals closed here. The exhibitors themselves didn't expect it. It's a matter of billions. Clean industry is the essence of life. The ones that got the solutions, and they have amazing solutions here, can do business. I am happy to invite NTD spectators to visit the Clean Tech exhibition 2009, next year."
