Amazing how much knowledge Americans have of the European, Canadian or Cuban health systems isn't it. I mean it's not like people in this video don't have an interest in keeping socialised medicine out of the US, say I cynically. If you come to the UK or Europe don't use our health systems then, I mean your system is perfect.

No it isn't my mother is in her late 70's and had double hip replacements in a very modern hospital. It didn't take long for her to have the op either. please don't comment on something you have no direct experience of.

Nice story. But it cannot be true. It is illegal for ANYONE to discriminate against anyone on grounds of age in the UK.
My own mother broker her hip. They promised an op the next day, a Friday. Well like that story, another emergency came in and the op was cancelled, Mum was not at all put off. I was astounded when I went in on the Saturday and she had had already had the new hip joint fitted. They did the general surgery on a Saturday! Thank you Basildon NHS.
