A great 1960's TV commercial for Nescafe!

  • Instant Coffee sucks, no matter what nationality~ : ]

  • interesting

  • un gran comercial del Japon

  • Cute commercial. The jingle is great too. :D

  • That commercial proves how popular Nescafe was, and still is, around the world.

  • Nescafe from Japan. i like it

  • Reminds me of '60s American cigarette commercial which is also on YouTube, in which a man falls asleep while a couple is frolicking on a beach in a TV commercial he's watching. They come out of the TV into his living room and light up a Newport cigarette for him.

I assume Roy James (the gaijin who comes out of the TV) could speak Japanese fluently in real life, but here it looks like his voice is dubbed.

At :52, you can see a black object bounce down into the frame above the Nescafe bottle.

  • This is the most frightening commercial I've ever seen in my life. Surreal, unsettling, scary! I never want people to come out of my TV and give me coffee. Thanks very much for posting.

  • I am very glad to be able to watch really rare film.

When I was still televised to about five or six years old (1960's middle part), I memorize this commercial.

An actor appearing is the person whom there was who is popular as an emcee of TV program and jazz concert with a person called Roy James.

    Thanks for nice clip!
