I have seen so many news clips of this and the new ban.....news reporters can shut up about their own opinion. Tell the news, thats it. All that does is make the viewers agree with them.
@jpatterson27 You my friend should learn not to talk about things you do not know, I obviously know more on this topic, snakes make great pets, however a potential 15ft+ 200lb burm from the wild, not the best pet snake. Diet of the captured animals is also needed to indicate if they are killing off native species FU*k watch the show! And to make you look dumber still I love, keep and breed reptiles, and have 50+ snakes and 30+ reptiles, fish and many other animals, work for a breeder Happy .?.
@jazskater007 First of all, lets not talk about religion. Second, they are not wild, just because they dont fetch a ball, and come when you say their name doesn't mean they're wild. The Burms are actually stepping up and taking the place of a natural predator that is dying out( not because of the snakes). These anim. make great pets and so do most other (nonvenomous) snakes. Do you even own, or have any interest in Snakes? Please do not talk of things you do not understand. P.S. I own 2 snakes
@jpatterson27 Firstly they are not doing the Lord's work, no offence but there is no such thing. Second, taking innocent lives for no reason, innocent they may be but they are not where they belong and any caught cannot be allowed to stay, and wouldn't make good pets due to their wildness, plus it is beneficial in studies to kill and see what the snake has eaten and such. Therefore giving them an outlook to how damaging the snakes are to the environment. Seriously, learn of what you speak first.
@HDVesta When i do think about it now, i think it would be very devastating to the animals in the surrounding area's effected, while we have seen such disasters in the past with unique animals destroying ecosystems and also creating new diseases.. foreign creatures even insects can pose a mighty threat.. one of the latest in Australia I've actually come across on our local radio is bee's from an Asian location have come a shore disrupting the already problem honey bee's
@X3lfl3X some years the cold does make it difficult to survive, but if an animal is in an environment where it is capable of hunting and breeding then its a hazard to the ecosystem around it and a VERY large hazard to organisms that are fighting to occupy the same niche. Even if the cold does kill off some of these snakes its still important that biologists keep analyzing the size and health of these reptiles.
