I had to do that just the other day actually, on the way home from work, finished with my cig, no ashtray, and a biker behind me. I actually held onto the cig longer because I didn't want it to hit him, but in the end I started smelling burning filter. So in the end, I flicked it as hard as I could to the other side of the road. There are those of us who know "bike etiquette", but certain things are sometimes unavoidable. Of course, most people are there are just completely ignorant, lol...
