  • This horse shows a lot of flashy knee & front toe action, but does not step underneath himself at all, is croup high, and frequently shows hitching action in his hind legs. All signs of incorrect collection, unfortunately. Otherwise the pair seems very harmonious.

  • Why don't you e-mail Jacquie Brooks and tell her? Too bad there is too many computer desk dressage professionals out there to make unfounded comments on this site. This was posted to every one to see who did not make it to Toronto. And what level do you ride?

  • I tried to watch this lovely video and it stopped after 33 seconds. could you please fix

  • It should'nt have, as I have checked this site several times, and had no complaint about it.

Will check again when I get highspeed access within the next couple of days.

  • Gand Prix movements are schooled in snaffles very often. I do it all the time on my coach's horse.

  • i pray to see the day grand Prix moments executed in a snaffle....

  • He's an Oldenberg gelding. They represented Canada in the Bejing Olympics. Much better quality then is normally found in Canada. Very expressive boy, lovely cadence and very strong. A very nice partnership!

  • i love her horse :)

and she is a good rider and nice person aswell :)

  • Wow! its like dancing on horses! well done!

  • someone please tell me what the music is!???

  • I've ridden 4th level and schooled piaffe/passage. I have myself been penalized for being guilty of high front leg action and not enough sitting behind so I'm quite familiar with the fault. I'm not saying I'm an expert, it's just rather obvious here. Watch the top level horses and you will see why they place above horses who have croup high/hitching piaffe and flashy front action and not enough engagement. This pair has very lovely harmony though and I appreciate that.

  • Does anybody know what breed the horse is?

  • Obviously they were good enough, since they won!! :)

  • I saw this wonderful horse win the Canadian Freestyle Championship at the 2007 Royal Winter Fair in Toronto. I also saw him at the Royal last year. Both performances were incredibly crowd pleasing but as a dressage fan I saw a real improvement this year. I loved the pirouettes, piaffes and passages. Let's hope his 2007 Royal performance makes it to YouTube as well so dressage lovers who weren't at the Royal can enjoy it.
