  • Welcome to the world of business where new ideas are scarce, but improved ideas are everywhere.

I'm sure Sixense and Project Natal have been in the works FAR LONGER than Wii was. The Wii is just so unbelievably simple and rudimentary that they could release it way before the other two, making it seem like they copied.

You have to learn to look past what you see on the surface. Just because the Wii was released first doesn't mean motion-tracking games were Nintendo's idea.

  • cant you spell to wii or what happend there? xD

  • Magnets... It uses magnets... YES!

  • @maddawg579 Well technically Nintendo's been doing motion control since the 80s with the Power Glove, but I agree that the Wii was way rushed. The TrueMotion looks like it'll be really cool, and way better than any of the console motion control devices.

  • @maddawg579 this is very true, nintendo didn't come up with motion control first, sony and maybe microsoft even have been working on it first. but nintendo rushed to release it first to seem like they are innovators but in the end their product is very simple and crude and from my experience isn't very good at all. i truly believe that it is time that nintendo redevelop their controller, the only reason they did so well is because its cheap anyway.

  • I like the HL2 demonstration more with this system :D

  • huge problem that exists will all technology like this up to date, is that there is a small delay when you move it to when it actually moves. very evident in wii, very evident in this video. precision is the killer here

  • The tech behind this is actually completely different than Wii. The Wii remote uses Accelerometers (and now Gyros with motion Plus) for gestures and an IR camera and sensor bar for aiming. Sixense doesn't use any of those things

  • There's only one problem with the Wii motion+. It's attached to a Wii.

  • PS3 never copied the wii they had motion sensing controllers since launch (sixaxis) but never used it to the level the wii does...

  • Hmm well now Wii Motion+ is out, and this just looks like copyness. Motion control on a 3D field, and it's 1:1 motion. Not much different here. Wii just released it faster, and, most likely, for less money .

  • Well all these people keep saying, "They copied Wii! They're stealing ideas!"

Well, that's probably not the case. And if it is the case, then it's not stealing... it's improving.
