  • @bikos236590 Sighting is not an evidence or a proof of existence... nor the truth, of what our eyes can see. Anyway, I suggest to all you to read about scientific method. By the way, feynman was a scientist, ironically sarcastic at talks, but he was not a "preacher", WAS A SCIENTIST. If you don't understand what scientist said at talks do not comment. There is no more dangerous that an ignorant open mouth.

Partly because we are raised without questioning things, we are brought up being told things are the way they are because they just are.

  • It's a shame that most of the world isn't 1/10th as intelligent as this guy.

  • I love Feynmann so so much. Note that when Stephen Hawking refers to the promulgation of scientific method in the modern era he always quotes Feynman.

  • This is a great video

I wouldn't say "dangerous". Firstly, because one would be committing a mistake by limiting the free speech of those he disagrees with, second because a person who knows no better to hide his ignorance will himself make himself look ridiculous, and because ignorance primarily damages the ignorent person himself. What is dangerous when there are a lot of ignorant people together, because it shileds them from the questions that would quickly reveal to them their lack of knowledge.

  • Philosophically, I actually think Feynman is being unreasonable here. In truth there is no way to adjudicate these claims more than pragmatically.

  • @sailcat9 ... and magnetic monopoles and string theory.
