This is very real. My 14 year old daughter just had her ACL repaired by Dr. Sanders on Wednesday August 3, 2011. Today is August 6, 2011 and she had done everything I have seen in the videos from the Sanders Clinic. She had a complete ACL reconstruction. She is already bending her knees to 145 degrees. Dr. Sanders has called everyday to the Therapist, Allen, to check on her progress. She is only three days out and started doing wall squats today. We are from NC. Flew in just for Dr. Sanders.

@thesportsguy10 it's called contralateral ACL reconstruction. Lot's of stuff about it online.

@sandersclinic ...... why did you take d patella graft from d opposite knee???
I have undergone acl reconstruction last friday 15/10/10 and the graft was taken from the same knee. What are the advantages and disadvantages???

Why do all Sanders Clinic patients have their both knees with patches?
You tear one ACL but you get the second one for free?
Plus, pure lies. You will never be that well after 4 days of your surgery. It takes months to do things like riding a bicycle like you are in a competition.

i feel a little skeptical. false advertising possibly

did y have to use crutches

Patients that undergo ACL reconstruction by Mark Sanders MD FAAOS using the contralateral patella tendon graft do not use wheelchairs, braces, or crutches after their surgery. These support mechanisms limit the ability of his patients to regain range of motion and a biomechanically correct gait, thereby increasing the time to return to an active lifestyle. Furthermore, little, if any, evidence exists indicating the use of a postop or functional brace in an accelerated rehabilitation program(1)
