....and no one seems to have mentioned that's it andrei gavrilov! The ending is not original, but very much in the russian tradition of arangements or at least adding other octaves to endings. Whilst somewhat excessive it is hard to find an ending to this piece with a full forte to the end. Most pianists diminuendo, which i personally dislike. Otherwise it isn't simplified. Quite slow and detailed, perhaps just makes it sound easier.

Beautiful piece. I'd like to invite watching Nuccio Trotta's performances on youtube. I think that's a pianist worth listening in to. Thanks.

Very well done! Very crisp and expressive. From listening to this I have finally realized the haunting beauty of an unusual and dissonant harmony that hadn't clicked with me before, at 2:06. It's amazing!
interesting... you are playing a simplified version of the fugue, way different from the music i have... it especially doesn't have what happens at 8:56! Is this on paper or are these personal alterations?
Enjoyed it thoroughly,

This is not me playing, unfortunately. It's taken from a BBC tv show in which all the 48 preludes and fugues were played by 4 different pianists.
It's interesting you mention the alternative/simplified version. It never occurred to me he could be deviating. My level of Bach playing (2 part inventions) doesn't allow me to study the piece.. ;-(
