CONFRONTATION: Occupy Vancouver 12 November, 2011

Butch was making a backup video on his GoPro HERO helmet cam while waiting for a protest march to begin at Occupy Vancouver on Saturday, 12 November when he was confronted by the man who assaulted and robbed him a week earlier while doing video at the occupy site. Then other occupiers confronted Butch and questioned his right to make video and tried to censor him. Video by Terry David Silvercloud (Butch) on a GoPro HERO HD helmet cam. @DeportedAllan Checked that out. I believe you are correct. And the person who leads my assailant away is Sean O'Flynn-Magee who seems to know him... the guy who tried to smash my camera. He would have succeeded but I was stronger than him. He tried at least three times to smash my camera onto the sidewalk... bending my mono pod in the process. I've straightened the mono pod out but it will never be the same and is stiff to extend now.

@DeportedAllan I have been in touch with the police and have filed a report. The advice I have been given is that the best charge I can ask for is "mischief" and the reason given is that, by entering into a situation where I knew there was likely to be conflict, that it is like two persons agreeing to fight, or like a war correspondent entering a war zone... I knew or should have known the risks. So, at this point, I have filed a report (incident # 11-185-434) and am looking at other options.

@STEVEDIGIBOYtv The tents even though mostly empty are indicative to a universal symptom that appears to be linked to the Asian housing market. As indigenous people under the patriot of Canada, we are being sold out. Sold out to big mining, drilling, fracking & piping too, with secert government house deals we don't hear about in the news. It's serious & destroys lives.
