Hi, I just had a few questions, when you added the xanthan gum to your deep conditioner mixture and you let it set for a couple of hours or even a day, did you find that your oils separated fro your mixture? or did the xanthan gum help keep the water and oil mixtures together for long periods of time while also thickening it?

@materialgirl6892: no it did not separate, it created a cream but it all depends on the amount of xantham gum you add. It's main purpose is to bind the oils and water together. You can do the same thing with emulsifying wax.

@SparkMyWorld: I had to stop making products for a while so I really haven't used or perfected the Marshmallow Root due to my upcoming move. Plus, I had other products that I needed to use up first. I will start experimenting with the ingredients again in a few months once I get settled.

@ATLalana87: you don't have to make it like I made mine, you can add or take away whatever you want. If you don't want to use herbs you can use water only. If you look at it, there's only oil, water, herbs and honey. This was a really good conditioner for me.
