A little demonstration of the powerful combination of the impOSCar softsynth and the Novation Automap system, controlled by the Novation ReMOTE ZeRO SL MIDI controller.
I started tweaking after playing a simple arpeggiator pattern using keyboard hold. Listen to the beautiful filter, making the impOSCar one of the best analog softsynths and surely my favourite.
Played on Apple Mac with Ableton Live 7.

  • why do you need the automap system? couldn't you just controlled it with the remote zero midi? sounds cool... i've been thinking about getting imposcar...

  • Automap comes with the ZeRO SL and makes it very easy to assign MIDI parameters to the knobs and sliders etc, thanks to the visual representation on your computer screen.

The impOSCar is an analog monster and quite easy to use.

actually the original OSCar was nearly all digital. Only the filter was analog...me being a smartarse too ;-)

  • I also have the ZERO SL MKII and I am new to Live. I just have the problem how to use Automap in Ableton Live as it works in the advanced mode. With Logic I could easily assign the parameters to the SL, but I just don't know how to configure the SL for Live and esp. 3rd party plugins. Maybe you have an answer? Cheers!

  • hi...sounds great!!!!! whats the preset?

  • can i use this as a mixer in pro tools

  • Cool clip..but ehm..the synth is not analog..its a softsynth..but its an emulation of the analog synth oscar ;) just wanna be a smart ass hehe

  • what preset is???

  • one question about that. Did you connected both devices, the Zero SL and your keyboard via USB or did you connected your devices via Midi?

    Thanks a lot!

  • I am new into this and have a question Will remote zero + cheap midi keyboard for keys will be good option then buying axiom pro or SL MKII keyboards alone.are they worth it and do they work simultaneously the first option.also does remote zero support automap3?

  • I didn't know you could use the Automap 3 software with the SL zero mk1? what's the deal with that!?
