Afghan refugee children of brick factory アフガン難民の子どもたち

This is a brickyard near Afghan refugee camp in Pakistan. Many families have children working here.
The children start working at 2 in the morning. They work until 2 p.m., when they take lunch and rest until 4 p.m. Then they must work another two hours, until 6 p.m. All together they work 14 hours a day. In one day a child can make about 2,000 bricks. The child gets 260 rupees, or about 4 dollars. This is just barely enough for a family to live on. And so everyday they have no choice but to return to the brickyard and continue making bricks.
パキスタンにあるアフガン難民キャンプの近郊にある煉瓦工場。ここでは多くの難民の子どもたちが働いています。
真夜中の2時から日干し煉瓦を作り始め、午後2時に昼食をとり、少し休んで午後4時から再び作り始め、夕方の6時まで働きます。労働時間は14時間。作る煉瓦は一日に二千­個。その賃金は260ルピー、約4ドル。かろうじて生きていくことができる賃金です。だから、くる日もくる日も煉瓦を作り続ける毎日です。

@tmomof6 thank you for posting this was was confused as to how adults could sit at home and let there children earn a living for them. I agree work is not evil, but 14 hour days for a child come on. at the end of the day it is just a child. Pretty harsh for flunking school. how do we know if one of them might have been the next Justin Biber, or any hidden talent the school would not see the potential of?

The announcer failed to mention that when children flunk in school they are kicked out of school & they end up working here because they were considered to be labor-types not intellectual types. Now as harsh as that is that these children are required to be productive in their families, you people need to understand that this is considered RESPECTABLE work. These are the lucky workers who are NOT being forced into prostitution. Work is not evil.
