American Idol made a charity episode called Idol Gives Back which aimed to raise funds from people's donation that night for people suffering from poverty, AIDS, and malaria in Africa..the show was supported by musicians and celebrities in order to encouraged viewers to donate

John McCain leading Barack Obama, 47% to 42%. McCain also leads Hillary Clinton 50% to 40%.
