The Cat's Hill Classic spans five decades of pain, suffering, and athletic achievement for hundreds of competitive cyclists including some of America's finest. The 23% gradient on the infamous eponymous hill on Nicholson Avenue is merciless in its sorting out of who does and who doesn't have what it takes to finish this grueling ordeal, and attracts large numbers of visitors to Los Gatos, California.
This footage was from the Pro 1/2 race during the 2011 edition of the race on May 14th which was won by Nathaniel English of the Yahoo team. It was shot with a single iPhone from all the key vantage points around the course.
Back in the day when use to race this was a race I always looked forward to, the course is great and the fans make it a very great race.
