Carol Sill and Peter Fenner discuss his western buddhism. Non-Dual-Awareness and meditation retreats are revealed in this provocative and fascinating interview.
@acuaman42 You said emptiness was the "guide" so I was agreeing with You. I like Tony Parsons and Peter Fenner and a whole bunch of people that i interpret as awakened and none of Us are really here yet interpretation is happening as Tony would say hahhahaha it's all good, just thankful;) just attempting to put into words the formless is a contradiction and yet enjoyment is happening. Yes Ego "is" identification.
@Myflesh101 There are no "guides", emptiness does not need to guide itself to find itself. The other point you wrote is that "you" are identified with the EGO but "you" are the EGO so it means that the Ego is identified with itself? That is a kind of contradiction. If you have some free time watch Tony Parsons two interviews at his web site in the open secret, you will finally discover who you really are.
@acuaman42 Yeah of course emptiness is the ultimate "guide" "teacher" or whatever and yes I still am identified with Ego and perhaps teachers like Peter fenner or whoever are just a good High for me, so be it. I haven't paid him a dime and I feel fantastic listening to him and others like him, your making a generalization that people are being taken advantage of, yet if some feels there is value then how are they being taken advantage of? A "real guru" is just my interpretation.
@Myflesh101 Ask yourself who is the "I" who feels profound peace when you do what you say. The answer is, your EGO.
I do not understand what you mean by "REAL GURUS", any guru or spiritual teacher is someone who takes advantage of their followers ignorance in order to make money. The best guru is emptiness but "YOU" can not find it, you are that alredy.
@acuaman42 Yes it's a paradoxical teaching, yet when I watch I feel a profound peace, a break from the busy mind stream. Many People do need to learn how to breathe, at least in a deep way. Shallow breath goes along with stress and an overactive mind-stream. If it has no meaning or rather lets U go of all meaning, then yes there is seemingly no value. Some real Gurus are unreachable because of their popularity.
Mr. Fenner is one of those new age Gurus, making lots of money with the ignorance of people. He says that he is teaching to be in touch with nonduality. The question is who is going to learn that. We are ALL THE TIME in touch with nonduality, in other words this teacher is teaching to become what we are all the time. Is like teaching people how to breath.
@soufisme1 Heureusement, Oui,;)
