Yes, C.W. is a genius. His work at first seems to be about human loneliness. But it is also about time, and times lost, history. About the built landscape, rising up from the mud and farmsteads to the civic grandeur of the later Gilded Age, and then declining to... what J.H. Kunstler calls the 'exurban crudscape' of golden arches, filling stations, tangles of electrical and telephone wires, outsized business signs. A perfect landscape for... human loneliness.

@yvesami I did this for school many years ago. I was hard to find a sequence in CW's intricate story telling that could stand alone since his books are so cleverly inter-woven. Thanks for checking out the vid and commenting.
