Steven Sorenson first cage fight vs Marlin Range. Tri-State Cage Fighting, April 12th, 2008 at Lewis Bowl in Sioux City, IA. Both fighters are first timers so its a bit of a sloppy fight, but a testament to patience and fortitude.

  • CAn you honestly look at your fights and say to yourself that you have a future in this sport? Can you honestly say that?

  • @myloveforMMA Don't have to expect a career or be great to enjoy the competition. This was an amateur debut fight taken on short notice by both fighters; a high-skill fight was not expected from either fighter.

  • @supersix84 Well goof for you for enjoying and competing but as a serious fighter looking after a career in this I can get very competitive.

  • @myloveforMMA Nothing wrong with being competitive!

  • man this guy ia garbage! both of them. but it was their first fight.. na fuck it it looks like they only trained for two weeks.

  • @813Geane Fairly spot on judgement, actually. I don't know about Range, but at this time I had never trained MMA or striking. I was a purely jiu-jitsu guy and took the fight on a week's notice.

  • Bad ref tap out was at 5.07

  • hahaha that guy was black in colour. weird

  • I love all fights, amateur or pro. Not sure what the 3 wrestling throws at the start of the rounds were supposed to gain though. Good vid.

  • @myloveforMMA the only thing i found for maurice torres was a guy who plays volleyball lol quit talking like you know everything there is about mma. you probably just watch mma fights and automatically think you're a genius. shut up dude

  • bbbbbbboring

  • lokks gay

  • HELL YEAH!!! GO WHITE BOY!!! i love when "cardio" wins a fight!!! HELL YEAH!

  • @myloveforMMA You weren't on there

  • @dss103 I will agree the guy with blue shorts had natural ability, and props to the green shorts for not letting that first minute get to him and having a decent comeback. They have abilitiy and I believe with enough training they can get to higher levels of MMA, anyone can in my opinion with enough training and dedication. But more than anything you can tell a good set of fighters by a technical fight with a set pace, not always the case, but this could have been a street fight.

  • @myloveforMMA Lol sorry, can't find you although truth be told it's probably because of Sherdog's huge cosmetic change. And his takedowns were solid. He's probably not gonna get to the higher level fights in big promotions like Striker Force of UFC, but he didn't do too bad until the black trunks subbed him -_-

  • as soon as i saw the black guy starting to throw the white guy around, i knew the white guy had this, since the black dude was using way to much energy

  • @dss103 Are you kidding me man? Look me up on Sherdog fighter finder, Maurice Torres

  • @myloveforMMA Wtf? The dude in blue trunks impressed me actually lol. Do you know how much pressure there is in going into a fight? Add that this is their first time fighting in a real MMA fight, which weighs you down even more. You're ovbiously:

    A. a fucking fat kid who never steps out of his house and plays video games all day

    or

    B. A skinny fucking idiot who never steps out of his house and plays with his dick all day.

Mix and match those two options and I bet that's you lol. Respect please

  • :D

  • This was a great fight, thanks for the upload.

  • fella in blue shorts bound to loose too much showing off you can only do that if you're anderson silva.

  • @79pejeperro improve the striking? i didn't really see any technique in this fight.. lol
