Small video to celebrate the fact that, after several years MIA, the supermodel emulator has finally returned to the limelight and has just been released. I should point out that this is version 0.1a (alpha) and is very much work in progress but, even at this early stage, LOOK! It looks terrific! SCUD Race (Australian Export version) running at an excellent speed considering it's the first build (and my laptop isn't exactly a top of the line gaming rig).

I recorded this on my X10 mini pro camera phone as Fraps didn't show how well this was running on my somewhat humble Dell Inspiron 1720 laptop. The camera phone really doesn't do it justice though - it looks incredible.

No audio in the emulator so i've given you some RJD2 to enjoy with his awesome tune, 'Work It Out'. Great video for that song too.

A major thank you to Bart Trzynadlowski for bringing the Model 3 dream home. :)

  • hey bro i try to open op supermodel but it says it fails to open

    what do i do?

  • @sideswipe3511

It really depends on your setup. Go to the supermodel3 forums - They can help you best in there.

  • how did you download scud race on a laptop

  • @sideswipe3511

I got it here: supermodel3 com

This video is out of date now. The newest version of the emulator now has full sound, controller/steering wheel support and EVEN FORCE FEEDBACK!!! :)

  • It certainly does look incredible, I never would've guessed my ageing Pentium 4 would be able to handle this as well as it does. Bart Trzynadlowski - you are a genius sir!

  • @MrThunderwing

And this is just alpha stage :)

I tried to use a 360 controller with it in conjunction with a program called controlMK (which worked sweet for System Shock 2) but, while the face buttons worked (for gear changes) and the back button worked (for coin 1), the triggers and sticks didn't :(

But still, it's coming along nicely. Cant wait for sound and controller support. If he gets FFB in, great but i'm not bothered if it's impossible

  • that's good bro i'd like to see more of this supermodel emulator

  • well also it says "reinstalling the application may fix it'.

  • thanks for sending me the website im gonna go visit it

  • @Noobsaibot21 If he gets FFB in I may give some serious thought to getting a G25 wheel at some point in the future (although I'd probably want to upgade my PC first to get this and Daytona 2 up to full speed). I'm currently using a third party PS3 controllers for this with joytokey which seems to work pretty well.
