Here's the rest. Ran slightly longer than 10:00, let's see what happens.

Shout out to djtutor.com (aka ellaskins & briansredd)

Part 1 of how to convert vinyl to mp3 using audacity with LAME MP3 plugin installed. Helpful for people who use Serato, Final Scratch, Traktor Scratch, Virtual Vinyl, etc. or for those who want to get their favorite 12" single onto their ipod / iphone.

You can get Audacity here.

(don't forget the LAME plugin)

  • Jeez, do you have to do this with every song on, say, a 2xLP??? that would take ages!!!

  • @aw5omeFRAZA Afraid so. If you have full albums, sometimes it may be better to purchase from a download site. My vinyl collection is primarily 12" singles with extended, instrumental and sometimes acappella versions of the same song. Not usually the kind of stuff you get from the download sites.

  • FunkyRob I thank you on an important tutorial on converting vinyls (LPs) to CDs or MP3s (one of the other), I been fucking learning this stuff how to get my favorite music to an mp3 player and soon on keep my files to a thumb flash drive, et cetera. U Familiar with mediaconverter, zamzar and youconvertit?

  • Glad I could help. This particular video is pretty old now. At the time, I couldn't find anything on this subject on youtube. Not familiar with the programs you've mentioned. Recently my focuses have changed on adding MP4 music videos to my dj library.

  • Very informative tutorial. I've been doing vinyl rips of my records since getting a NuMark TTUSB. I use Audacity on a PowerBook G4, but save the files first was WAV files, then convert them with iTunes to gapless VBR mp3 files (mainly because I rip whole albums and burn them to CD's), archive those, and then do another conversion to AAC files for my iPod.

  • why acc for ipod?
