well you dont always hold when your hurt you also hold when your tired. Doesnt mean that calzaghe hurt kessler or hopkins. Hopkins is just a dirty fighter who just holds, fought the same way against wright and taylor.

Yeah, people keep saying that Joe can't hurt anybody. So why then didn't Hopkins walk straight through him? Why was Kessler on the back foot for the entire fight. Calzaghe used to knock just about everybody he fought out, but over the last few years has had to change the way he hits to protect his fragile hands. He can still punch when he wants to, though, notably having Kessler - a man who has never been knocked down let alone out - in trouble and desperately looking to hold on at one stage.

i can guarantee that calzaghe will not be able go forward against pavlik if he did he's gonna get a one-two and end up on the mat. pavlik has too much power in his hands and when taylor fought him the second time he ran most of the time. and i dont think calzaghe could handle taylor either.
