  • @tupacoutlaw3 you decide what brand you want to put in as long it is 0W-20 grade and fully synthetic. Toyota itself does not make oil the companies package the oil for them instead. Honda also have 0w20 oil and many brands have 0w20 too. in my opinion just use a high quality brand. it will run forever.

  • The last thing he says is "that oil doesnt get changed for 10k miles."

Check out Toyota.ca and you'll see recommended intervals of 10k kms

He's actuall stating TGMO 0W-20 can go 3787mi more than Toyota recommends.

Careful what you hear on the net.

  • @CharlieDoan i have a toyota corolla 2011

with 20,000 miles do you know what oil i should use

it came with 0w-20 and thats the one i have been using

  • @Rico8458 Yes, from 2009 to now 0W-20

  • @Rico8458 My Scion Xd come out dealer using 100% synthetic Toyota 0W-20

Some different about oil : Synthetic , Full Synthetic, Toyota FULL SYNTHETIC!

  • @Rico8458

All 2011, from factory come with 0w-20 100% Synthetic! GOOD! so the time for oil change will be double and good for me on Saving time and money too! If 0w-20 not available then you can use 5w-20 but Toyota oil 0w-20 is the best. Engineer designed and lab TESTED already and SURELY factory oil is the best for your vehicles.

  • Strange the way he goes on about Toyota's 0w20 being dark. Both the current "Black Bottle" and previous "Red Bottle" Toyota 0w20 oils are exceptionally light colored. In fact, it's nearly (and annoyingly) invisible on the dipstick until it gets some miles on it. I'm pretty sure Kandola is confused. The oil he's calling Toyota 0w20 is in *the other* bottle. The contents of the dark bottle is either some other oil, or possibly diarrhea.

  • on new cars out of the factory does toyota use full syn or syn blend or conventional oil in the engine?
