  • The Queens Hall organ was built by William Hill & Son with the case designed by the hall's architect T E Knightley. It was rebuilt by Hill, Norman and Beard in 1923. Much of Hill's work was left intact. Gilbert Benham writing in "the Organ" in 1924 described it "as near perfection as is attainable in this world". As such it reflected the tastes if the 1920s with a strong mid Victorian foundation.
