did you use soft, regular or firm tofu?
I was guessing firm by the consistency it remained, but I could be wrong, I would really like to know before I go bumbling into this. :D

I actually used neither of them. They are deep fried tofu pouches. inside is hollow and the outside is deep fried to have a golden brown "crust". It's still soft and pliable though.

Sake is Japanese rice white, konbu is kelp, usually sold in dried form. You can find those ingredients easily in a good Asian supermarket
