so they added more issues to make it more believable to side with the ones who push the button? from what I remember of the epsiode it just came to the door and it was all about the wife being a greedy little witch and the husband trying to talk sense into her while fighting his own disire to push the button.

They added more background history to who the man was and how the button was tied into it. They made an infinitely larger and more stranger complex story to explain the man and the button. It's really too crazy and weird to even begin explaining.
