let's tango

"Tango "apolis" video piece is part of the physical theatre performance "απολις" , director Aliki Dourmazer, that deals with the movement of people in the urban enviroment and how this type of movement influences their mentality. This video piece presents a non conventional behavior in different situations that can be found in a city, that of a couple spontaneously dancing tango, in the middle of a street, on a terrace, in a bus,in a super-market. Driven by the need of acquaintance,of physical contact, , the two people dance without caring about the place or the time or even the breaking of the code of behavior that has been imposed on the members of the society throughout the years. We asked them: "If you could freely do anything anywhere in a city, what would that be?" This was their answer..
