Suggest more reading about the Surge and what really happened in Iraq, particularly content related to the ethnic cleansing and auto-partitioning that the Sh'ia and Sunni conducted. The violence related to the process triggered the demand for the increased U.S. troops (the surge), but the damage was already done by the time the troops were fully deployed.

Need to ask if the surge worked so well, why has the country not yet been turned over to Iraq.

"The Iranian threat could lead to other greater sacrifices." Listen closely to what McCain says here. This man has plans for our military forces that will encompass much more than just Iraq and Afghanistan. The mere fact that he is thinking about the possiblility of invading Iran is more than enough reason not to vote for him.

I don't know why everyone must dumb down there responses in order to comment on what they believe to be ignorant. I would like to see at least one intelligent response from either side (obviously only one here). My opinion is the responses are based on the same things that are claimed to wrong with McCain: brainwashing by media and propaganda. Objectively listen to both parties in order to arrive at rational conclusions that matter in government. Why resort to name-calling? How old are you?

There are many errors of fact in his response, but the most offensive is that "every intelligence agency in the world believed that Hussein had WMD." That is blatantly false. The facts are that NOBODY had hard evidence of WMD, and the intelligence community was divided in their opinions about WMD in Iraq. McCain is either too old to remember correctly, or ignorant of the facts. Experience doesn't mean much if you don't learn from it.
