Psychiatry is a real practice, not pseudoscience. The problem is that it needs reform, we still have alot of crap to get rid of and or fix. Like influence from big pharma, identifying underlying problems and better defining what is or isn't normal.

Psychiatry is in the situation its in largely becuase the studies on the brain are still new. So you're bound to have problems. That doesn't discredit the whole industry though. We know there are problems, we just are trying to define them.

@spartacandream As much as I want to like your well written response to this clip, saying Psychiatry has problems, is like saying George W Bush was quite bad for the country. After years of seeing horror stories and only rarely hearing of people helped through non-destructive ways (mainly all surgery and drugs) I honestly just want to see it gone. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like the Psych's that council patients rather than prescribe drugs willy nilly are pretty rare these days?
