I was 7 when this trailer aired in my hometown. Then my dad would tell me to go get something from his room...at the end of the hallway. I'd turn on the hallway light and go. When i got to the end, he'd turn off the light and yell "aaaahhhhAHHHHahhh" just like this bigfoot. A little boy would come racing back up the hallway. Back then, movie directors knew how to give a good scare with "less-is-more" and without buckets of blood splashing on the screen every five seconds.

I remember seeing this film on TV in the 80s late night or early morning, not sure, but I was around 8 or 9, and was totally freaked out after watching it.

I seen this in the theater when I was a child and the only part I remember is the guy running with the toilet paper.

This documentary film here is a re-make from Roger Patterson documentary he filmed back in 1967. Roger Patterson knew Ron Olson and Ron Olson was the one that even remade the PG film for Roger Patterson in 1968 and the PG film we see today is the work done by Ron Olson. Ron Olson even owned the original PG film. These are the facts.

@WarriorPoet01 I was also 8 when the movie came out, I had a plan to hide under our kitchen table if BF ever got into our house. I knew he would not see me and if he bent down I would lay on the chairs. I would practice hiding for hours. lol

Crazy. I clearly remember watching this in a theater with my parents during the late 70s. I was only about 6 so it scared the hell out of me. I already knew about Bigfoot but couldn't understand why the film kept referring to it as Sasquatch. That opening shot of the shadow silhouette got seared into my brain. First time I've seen this in over 30 yrs

3:17 Uuuueeewah! Is that Jason Voorhees breaking wind? LOL. The creators of Friday the 13th ripped off the music from this movie.

The call of the Sasquach on 3:17 is supose too be genuine. On Insearch of with Leonard Nimoy, they analyzed the sound.

@Feydakin8 I dunno about that. I had him for a roommate once, and he never picked up after himself, so I always had to clean his laundry. I don't know what he rolled around in, but he sure knew how to make something smell like crap. And don't get me STARTED about his choice in comedy! His favorite movie was The Cable Guy and he was always watching reruns old cartoons from the eighties.
That and he always mutilated campers, but the LAUNDRY! God, Sasquatch...

I love the documentary footage that sasquatch contributed from his private 16 mm camera. Kind of a sweet gesture toward the filmmakers.

You can get this on a DVD with the classic "B" movies "Snow Beast" and "The Snow Creature". The DVD is called "Sasquatch Horror". If you Google it I am sure you can find a copy. AFAIK this is the only legitimate DVD copy of this movie that is released.

Just as a quick update, I recently checked a few sites including Amazon-dot-com and you can still get the DVD that I mentioned for as little as $5 and change used, and around $10 new if anyone is interested. I'll post a link in the description to the DVD on Amazon.
