Part Two of a custom build of a Lakester inspired 1928 Ford Roadster powered by a SR20DET. Features include a perimeter style chassis, inboard front and rear suspension, sheet metal 9" rear housing and custom body.
its made from aluminium, not steel, so the wieght wont be as high as you expected, and that turbo sr20 would be pushing around 300+Hp so it should have no trouble hauling that amount of wieght around.
That dam thing will weigh a ton after your all done. I guess it ain't for racing. Wouldn't it be better if you went with a lighter front suspension, but beafier frame. Square tubing. You could just build your own wish bone and other material that would be lighter. Now your engine has to push itself and the weight of the car. Which was not intended to look like that. Simple is the key.
