Thanks. That's right. In this case, it may help to handle left/right presses directly to change the value.
But what if there are two sliders aligned next to each other, horizontally? And should vertical sliders then have the same exception for up/down? Maybe add an extra flag?
There are many conceptional usability "Catch-22"s :)
