@Dartagnyn Even if they had a good interior and mood lighting ok but AA dont even have PTV's on a 767 i hate AA anyway they are rubbish in Dublin we get two Aer Lingus A330s a day to Jfk and one Delta 757 Bmi used fly the 757 from Dublin to Heathrow up until june when they got rid of it why go on the same plane for 6 hours that goes 1 o ya and worse Thomas Cook sometimes fly Manchester-Calgary in a 757!

@Aviationnation10 I totally agree with you! 757s are totally inadequate for a decent transatantic service in my opinion, being too old, cramped and lacking passenger comfort generally. I would have expected a 767 at the very least. I say that from a position of experience, having flown on an AA757 between Miami & Barbados. Probably the worst flight I've ever had. Obviously AA look at the demand & economics etc but in all sincerity, it's not the right a/c. Perfect 787 territory. Pathetic 4 sure!

It's good that American are offering a direct service to JFK from MAN, but it's a 757 and I am sure the business class seats are nowhere near as comfortable as BA's CW 6ft beds on their spacious 747 and 777 aircraft. I'll therefore continue to travel fro MAN via LHR to NYC for the better service. And I'm sure I'm not the only person that flies from MAN with this mindset.
I think it's absolutely shameful that our own national airline (BA) pulls out of intercontinental travel given Manchester's increasing status as a "hub" but it's great to see AA picking up the "baton" and running with it. Terrific to see the presence of Delta and US Airways as well. And tomorrow we commence the daily service of the Emirates A380 to Dubai. Congratulations to Manchester on being the 1st regional airport in the world to have an A380 landing daily. Keep it up
