This trailer is for the 2009 Transgender Day of Remembrance event at Plummer Park in West Hollywood, CA. The event will be held Friday, November 20th. This year, the first memorial plaque to the transgender community is being placed at the Matthew Shepard Memorial on the corner of Crescent Heights and Santa Monica Boulevard. Community and special guest speakers will make remarks at both locations. The plaque ceremony will be followed by a procession along Santa Monica Boulevard to Plummer Park, where the remainder of the program will take place. The trailer seen here is a small snip of a short film that will be shown at the event.

@charlesthepoet2004 We cab decrease that violence tremendously by RAISING DECENT SONS and DAUGHTERS. That's how it starts. Bigots and intolerant folks don't juist appear one day - they are raised, they are indoctrinated, AND they are done a great dis-service by having parents who instill these ideas while they're young - in 25 years you have a wife-beating, homo-phobic, child-molesting rapist.

It's hard to believe people could hold so much prejudice as to commit murder.
