Last weekend Jo and I made our second trip to the Everglades National Park, a 1.4 million acre reserve between Everglades City and Florida City, Florida just along Florida Bay. It's a beautiful park with some of the best nature available in North America. ENP is unique in the world as the only "everglades" on our planet. This is one of the few original National Parks that does not have high, mountain vistas with silky water falls and scenic overlooks. Instead, ENP is home to a couple trillion mosquitoes, and some extraordinary wildlife which includes rare Panthers, Crocodiles, Otters, and a bunch of beautiful and exotic birds. Just the week before we drove up on a group of wildlife photographers who had spotted, photographed and videoed an extremely rare bird, the Cuban Peewee. It's only been spotted a couple times in North America.
I offer this video of the Wild Birds of the Everglades for your enjoyment and pleasure. The pictures are neat but the audio track is even better. These selections were selected for their audio even more than the video.
Thanks for watching.
