In Norse mythology, Ragnarök (Old Norse "final destiny of the gods") is a series of future events, including a great battle foretold to ultimately result in the death of a number of major figures (including the gods Odin, Thor, Týr, Freyr, Heimdallr, and Loki), the occurrence of various natural disasters, and the subsequent submersion of the world in water. Afterward, the world will resurface anew and fertile, the surviving and reborn gods will meet, and the world will be repopulated by two human survivors. Ragnarök is an important event in the Norse canon, and has been the subject of scholarly discourse and theory.

The event is attested primarily in the Poetic Edda, compiled in the 13th century from earlier traditional sources, and the Prose Edda, written in the 13th century by Snorri Sturluson. In the Prose Edda, and a single poem in the Poetic Edda, the event is referred to as Ragnarökr or Ragnarökkr (Old Norse "Doom of the Gods"), a usage popularized by 19th century composer Richard Wagner with the title of the last of his Der Ring des Nibelungen operas, Götterdämmerung.

  • Die for honor and glory brothers of the north! Hail the old ones and do not let the pure ways die out like the bastard abrahamic faiths!

  • If this is the destination our world will have to endure, all must be ready to fight. The Aesir have never lead us astray, nor have they given man any reason to doubt them. If Surtur and the sons of Muspellheim are going to attack, we must charge into the fire and fight. Today's man is weak, fat, and lives in a world where masculinity and glory are looked upon as vices, where political correctness hopes to hold down the ways of old, and make us susceptible to an easy death.

  • helsa brother or sister? liked the video it will be missed the passing of the old gods but i read them both daily and i must say out of all the old gods loki will be back he has died so may time and came back somehow. although even if he don't come back one's children is often more glorious then the parent.

  • Ragnarock has start already. Wars, international financial crysys (or maybe when money have been created), multi etnocultural society, pollution, etc etc.

  • Cool! Reminds me of the Silmarillion.

  • @4ourEver i agree full heartedly my friend
